The next generation of security monitoring is here. With industry-leading 4K (8 megapixel) resolution, the 4KHDIP1644NV 4K motorized and audio security camera system from Lorex by FLIR will bring a whole new level of detail to your security monitoring. It includes our revolutionary 4K capable 16-channel NR9163X network video recorder (NVR) and 4 4K LNE8974BW Motorized audio turret and 8 4K LNB8973B motorized bullet security cameras. Whether you are looking to protect your home, small business or commercial property, this powerful security camera system will help you secure the things that matter most.
Protect your home and the people inside of it with this Nocturnal security camera system from Lorex. The cornerstone of this system is a sixteen-channel NR900 Series Network Video Recorder (NVR). Four bullets and four dome security cameras, both belonging to our brand new Nocturnal product line, then round out this bundle. Along with 4K recording resolution, long-range color night vision, extreme weather durability, both sets of these cameras add something special to your security monitoring. The four LNE8974BW dome security cameras, for example, include a built-in mic for listen-in audio monitoring as well as 4x optical zoom. The four LNB8973B bullet security cameras also feature a 4x optical zoom and are distinguished by their all-black, vandal resistant metal exteriors. The Nocturnal cameras included here offer 4K resolution recording, long range color night vision, extreme weather durability, and much more. An eight camera system like this is perfect for any home, and leaves room to add 8 additional cameras.
4K security cameras
Both sets of Nocturnal security cameras contain an 8.51 MP image sensor that is capable of recording 4K resolution video. This sensor will provide you with exceptionally sharp video that will give you the best chance to capture the distinct details (such as facial features or license plate digits) that you need from a security camera.
4K Vs. 1080P Resolution
4K resolution has approximately 4× the amount of pixels as a 1080p security camera. The 4K cameras included here, for example, record at a pixel ratio 3840 x 2160. That’s a total of 8,294,400 pixels! A 1080p camera, on the other hand, records at a pixel ratio of 1920 x 1080. That’s 2,073,600 pixels, which is 6,220,800 fewer pixels than a 4K security camera. Ultimately, a higher pixel count such as this results in a much higher quality of video, with sharp definitive lines that distinctly outline every object and feature. It also allows for better digital zooms when you need to zoom into your footage. So when you spot something in your footage that you need to zoom in on, specific details will remain legible for longer as you zoom in further and further into the image.
Backlit Sony Exmor R™ CMOS sensor
The incredibly sophisticated Sony Exmor R™ image sensor within your cameras uses back illuminated pixel technology for exceptional low-light performance. It also shields the video from noise / grain as it coverts the video signal from analog to digital.
4x Optical zoom Security Cameras
Both sets of security cameras come with a unique zoom lens. Otherwise known as a motorized varifocal lens, this type of lens enables remote customization of your field of view (and focus). This means that you can either focus on a small area in astonishing detail thanks to the 4× optical zoom or survey a larger scene for maximum coverage. These adjustments can be easily made with your NVR or through our free mobile apps.
Full-color video, even at night
With most security cameras there is usually an automatic shift from full color to black and white when lighting conditions change at night. This is not the case for the Lorex LNE8950 and LNB8973 security camera. It features our revolutionary Color Night Vision™ (CNV) technology. This feature will:
- Produce full-color video, even in low-light conditions*
- Provide a further level of detail (the color of clothes or cars, for example)
- Add increased contrast for easier detection and recognition of people and objects
*Please note that ambient lighting is needed for full-color night vision. The image will typically switch to black and white infrared in total darkness to ensure maximum quality night vision.
PoE technology for simple plug-and-play installation
Lorex is proud to offer security systems that feature an easy installation process. This 4K security camera system is no exception. Power-over-ethernet (PoE) technology is an all-in-one solution that cuts cost and installation time. A single cable run between your NVR and each IP camera provides both power and video transmission up to 300 feet / 91m.
FLIR Secure Mobile App
This 4K Nocturnal security camera system is designed for use with our innovative FLIR Secure app for your mobile device. Using this app, you will be able to securely view your security cameras from virtually anywhere in the world, keep track of all motion activity with easy-to-read timelines, and receive push notifications for motion-triggered events. You will also be able to turn a camera on and off anytime you wish (a first for NVR security systems) using the new privacy feature. The FLIR Secure web viewing portal is also available for PC and Mac personal computers.
H.265 HEVC Compression
Both sets of cameras and the NVR included here use HEVC compression technology. HEVC stands for High Efficiency Video Compression (also known as H.265 or MPEG-H Part 2), and is used to compress video file sizes without any noticeable difference in quality. This lets you keep the 4K footage without the 4K file sizes. It will also let you watch the highest quality security footage while you are away from your home or business without large data transfers.
Regional Motion Zones
Create up to four custom motion zones with each camera. These zones can be programmed to adjust both the sensitivity (the amount of movement required to register that movement) and threshold (how much movement is required before creating a motion “event”) for motion detection in different areas of the camera’s field of view. So more important areas, like a door, can be set to record or create a motion event at the slightest movement, while a tree or bush would need a lot more movement to set off the motion detection.
Rugged weatherproof & vandal resistant security cameras
Manufactured with an IP67 weatherproof rating, the security cameras in this system are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Whether in a torrential downpour or a furious snowstorm, your security cameras can persevere. Heavy-duty (yet durable) metal housings and vandal resistant designs make these security cameras a dependable choice for year-round security that never stops working.
